We are urgently looking for tutors in the following subjects:

  • Chemistry

  • Psychology

  • History

  • Politics

  • English

  • Law

  • Physics

  • Languages

If you would like to tutor another subject not listed above, we would still love to hear from you, as we often have availability in all subjects.

Please note: We are currently only accepting tutors for KS2, KS3, GCSE’s, A Levels, University proofreading, Scottish Nationals, Scottish Highers and IB.

Job description:

You will be required to tutor students in your chosen subject areas. Lessons are between 30-minutes to an hour and may be one-to-one or to a group of students (up to 6).

There are also further opportunities to earn through marking, creating and selling resources and revision packs, writing blog posts and more.

This is a flexible role and you, as a tutor for Scholearn, are considered freelance. We will promote your profile on the platform, find work for you, and support you in career development. You will be able to pick your own hours and work as much or as little as you like.

This is a work-from-home only role and you will need a strong wi-fi connection and a laptop or PC.

Skills & Experience (required):

  • Have or be studying for a Bachelor’s degree (i.e., BA, BSc, etc.)

  • Experience leading or assisting others

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong time-management and organisational skills

Skills & Experience (desired, but not necessary):

  • Tutoring or mentoring experience

  • Previous experience working with children / young adults

  • Curriculum knowledge of chosen subject(s)

Person specification:

We are looking for enthusiastic, organised individuals with a passion for working with a start-up. They will be conscientious, knowledgeable in their chosen subjects and have excellent time-management skills. They will be eager to learn, excellent at communicating their ideas and knowledge to a range of ages and abilities, and able to adapt their teaching style to suit individual students’ needs.

Salary: Dependent on number of hours worked and services offered. From £14 to £39.99* an hour.
